slow motion sauna

WHY?

Bathing in sauna is a ritual that is hundreds of years old and like another fast growing UK pastime – immersing yourself in cold water, sauna cleans the body and cares for the mind.

Leaving your clothes along with your worries (as well as your mobile phone!) at the door is a liberating and truly relaxing experience and can often result in a spiritual high and exhilarated recharge of the batteries.

WHO?

Robby and Josie have lived and worked on the Isle of Wight for 20 years now and along with their 4 boys love the summer beach culture but also the cold, grey seas of winter and the hibernation that ensues. Avid cold water swimmers, Josie is also a yoga teacher and Robby is a meditation teacher.

where?

The Slow Motion Sauna will live on the Isle of Wight and travel from place to place spreading its beautiful natural heat as it goes. One day on a beach on the West Wight, one day holding a community sauna with cheaper prices down south, another day being used for a wedding or a private party and also popping up at festivals, island events and charity do’s.

Available to hire for groups of up to 6/8 for a fun and bonding team sauna for friends or hire one for a more private authentic Finnish sauna ritual for 2.

An option to have an ice bath adjacent to the sauna is also possible.

Warm up this winter with the Slow Motion Sauna Winter Warmer experience landing by the lake at Tapnell Farm. After a sold out summer in Freshwater Bay the Slow Motion Sauna is on its travels again and expanding for the winter season.

Boasting not one but two saunas to enjoy (both beautiful – one electric and one wood fired), lake views, fire pit, festive pine body scrub, cold tub, showers and changing area and free car parking.
